PHRONESIS
emPower HR: develOp & eNhance Employability Skills in business Students

ERASMUS BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAMME

On behalf of the University of Thessaly, we are delighted to invite your University to participate in our upcoming Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme “PΗRONESIS (emPower HR: develOp and eNhance Employability Skills in busIness Students)” in May 2024.

In the dynamic landscape of human resource management, the need for a comprehensive and experiential learning approach has become increasingly evident. To address this demand, our blended project has been designed to provide business students with a unique blend of on-site (13-17 May 2024) and online experiences. This project encompasses a week of academic and organizational talks, followed by immersive company visits focused on real-world challenges. The culmination of the project involves online presentations and the synthesis of outcomes.

We believe that this project will be an invaluable learning experience for students and teaching staff for all universities partners. By fostering collaboration and exchange between our institutions, we aim to enrich the educational experience of our students and prepare them for success in their future careers.

Reflections on the Program Schedule

The comprehensive program details will be unveiled one month prior to the project commencement

Phase 1: Immersive Academics and Organizational Insights

The journey begins with a preliminary on-line phase (90 minutes talks and discussions in 3 afternoons between 02 May – 09 May). Students will participate in a series of academic and organizational talks delivered by industry experts and professors who will share insights into the latest trends, best practices, and challenges within the field of HR. The upcoming sessions will delve into a diverse array of topics, with specific details to be announced at a later date.

Phase 2: On-Site Company Visits and Challenges

To bridge the gap between theory and practice, students will embark on company visits to organizations in their chosen industries. These visits will provide students with firsthand exposure to real-world business operations and decision-making processes. Working in teams, they apply their theoretical understanding to devise innovative solutions, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Phase 3: Online Presentations and Outcomes

Building upon the knowledge and insights gained from the previous phases, students will work in teams to develop and present online presentations on specific business challenges. These presentations will showcase students’ ability to synthesize information, apply their knowledge, and propose innovative solutions to real-world business problems.

In conclusion, our Erasmus BIP in human resource management for business students offers a dynamic and immersive learning experience. By combining on-site engagement with online collaboration, students acquire a well-rounded skill set that prepares them for the complexities of contemporary business roles.
