WHAT is pHRonesis II?
About the Programme
pHRonesis II is the second edition of the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) organised by the Department of Business Administration of the University of Thessaly.
➜ This practice-oriented programme invites students and academics from across Europe to tackle contemporary workplace challenges through hands-on experience and international collaboration.
WHY Participate?
pHRonesis II is built on experiential learning aimed at developing participants’ critical professional skills beyond traditional classroom, but through:
• Direct Observation: Exploring organizational practices in real-world settings.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Working in multicultural teams to solve complex problems.
• Structured Reflection: Connecting academic theories with professional reality under the guidance of academics/coaches.
WHO can Apply?
The programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Business Administration, Economics, and related fields. Although pHRonesis II is grounded in Human Resource Management, its strong focus on human-centric and transferable skills - such as communication, empathy, feedback, problem-solving, and reflection - makes it relevant across a wide range of business and economic disciplines.
Academics participate as facilitators and coaches, supporting student teams throughout the programme and contributing to pedagogical exchange within the Erasmus framework.
➜ Based on the experience of pHRonesis I, the programme is expected to involve around 50 participants (students and academics) from 8–10 universities.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, students will be able to:
• analyse human-centric and sustainable workplace challenges
• collaborate effectively in international teams
• apply experiential and challenge-based learning approaches
• develop well-argued responses to people-related organisational
challenges
• reflect critically on their learning experience and personal skill development
➜ Learning outcomes emphasise judgement, reflection, and applicability.
Focus Areas / Workplace Challenges
The programme addresses human-centric and sustainable challenges arising from everyday organisational practice. Students work in international groups to examine how such challenges are approached and to develop practical, context-sensitive responses.
Through participation in pHRonesis II, students gain hands-on experience of international teamwork, exposure to organisational environments, and increased confidence in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving within an intensive international learning experience beyond the traditional classroom.
➜ Information about specific challenges and participating organisations will be shared closer to the start of the programme.
