Agile management methods (Agile Management) are evolving dynamically, as they enable organisations to achieve their goals with less bureaucracy and with modern techniques. Agile management methods attract the attention of both the private / public sector, and the academic community. More specifically, projects and organisations adopt agile management methods and businesses and organisations focus on project management methods. This is evidenced by the several active scientific organisations as well as organisations that focus on the subject area of project management, whose aim is to advance the field of agile management. At the same time, keeping up with the latest developments has become necessary, as the subject area is currently evolving. This special purpose of offering modern postgraduate studies in the context of agile management covers the MSc in Agile Management Methods (MSc Agile), focusing mainly on the geographical area of Thessaly and the neighboring regions.
The aim of the Master’s degree in Agile Management Methods is to provide postgraduate studies in agile management methods. It mainly focuses on the geographical area of Thessaly and the neighbouring regions. Specifically, the Master’s in Agile Management Methods aims to:
- provide Higher Education graduates with specialist knowledge and prepare them for employment in Public Sector organisations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, by focusing on Business Administration and more specifically Agile Management
- modernise organisations and businesses, as well as ensure the successful implementation of programs and projects that focus on the development of the region of Thessaly and Greece in general,
- promote knowledge in the specific subject area of the program,
- promote research in the subject area of agile forms of management, project management and management by projects,
- prepare postgraduate students for doctoral studies and participation in research and European programmes that focus on networking, mobility, work experience or employment.
Graduates of Greek Higher Education Institutions or Foreign Institutions can enroll to the MSc, after they present the equivalent of their title by the competent body. The MSc is oriented to: Executives, especially the ones who work for both the private and the public sectors.
The Course is addressed to:
- Business executives, particularly those who work in the fields of Administration and Economy
- Managers in the broader public sector (e.g. Ministries, public legal entities), Universities, regional and local authorities
- Business consultants
- Engineers, self-employed or employed in businesses
- Researchers and instructors (in secondary, post-secondary and Higher education and lifelong learning institutions) focusing on Business Administration
- Higher Education graduates from Greek Universities or equivalent and recognised foreign Universities and TEI graduates
- People who wish to enhance their CV by adding a recognised Master’s degree
Participants must speak the English language fluently.
The evaluation of the candidates, who have previously provided all the necessary supporting documents within the prescribed deadlines, is based on the overall score, expressed on a percentage scale from one [1] to one hundred [100]. The score is formed according to the criteria determined by the Assembly, each of which is assigned a quantified weighting factor, expressed as a percentage (100%) in a whole number and are as follows

Applicants who achieve the highest overall mark will be admitted to the Master’s programme.
The aim of the Master’s degree is to guarantee the quality of the Programme of Study and the provision of high-level postgraduate studies.
The number of people admitted to the Agile Master Program to obtain the degree is set at a maximum of thirty (30) people per year. Those candidates who will receive the highest total score as well as those who will be tied for the last place of the successful candidates will be admitted to the Master program.
The duration of studies is three (3) semesters. Students write their Master’s dissertation in the third semester. The programme is full-time.
The courses take place in Larissa, at the Department of Business Administration in Geopolis campus of the University of Thessaly. An amount of thirty-five percent (35%) teaching hours are offered remotely.

Initially, the application is made electronically, by filling in the relevant form. Then, in case of acceptance, all supporting documents are sent to the PMS Secretariat within the prescribed deadline.
The successful candidates are invited to respond within a deadline for the acceptance or not of their inclusion in the Program. The non-timely response from a selected candidate within the prescribed period is equivalent to the resignation of his candidacy. In this case, the successful runners-up are called consecutively.
The tuition fees for attending the DPMS are 3000 euros and are paid in installments in 5 equal installments during the PMS.
According to the provision of article 35 "Free tuition - scholarships" of Law 4485/2017, up to 30% of admitted students are exempted from tuition fees based on economic and social criteria.

Students can request certificates (certificate of studies, certificate for the Greek Army, academic transcripts, etc) through the Electronic Secretariat service.
Every first-year student upon registration at the Institution automatically obtains a personal General Registration Number (GNR). For first-year study program students, the GNR consists of 7 digits. No action is required on the part of the students in order to obtain their AGM. To find out about the AGM assigned to you, you can connect to the Academic Identity service (see below).
In this case, the student needs to provide the Department Secretariat with a responsible declaration of loss or theft. This document is completed and signed at a police station and then submitted to the Secretariat.
Deletion is done with a responsible declaration of the student at the PMS Secretariat. It is carried out in two ways: a) with the physical presence of the student at the Department's Secretariat, b) in case the student cannot be present in person, then submits the responsible declaration of deletion through KEP.
The suspension of studies is done by the student's application to the Secretariat. Suspension of studies takes place at the beginning of the semesters (winter or spring). Attention during the suspension the student loses his student status.
Course declarations are made through the Electronic Secretariat at the beginning of each semester on dates set by the Department. First-year students do not need to declare coursesin the 1st semester (it is done automatically during registration).
Every student upon registration at the Institution automatically obtains a personal Institutional Account for access to electronic services. The Institutional Account consists of the User Name (username) and the secret Code (password). To activate your Institutional Account you should go to the page Password Recovery pageYou will enter your username and password and then your new password twice. Please note that the recovery password cannot be used more than once and it expires after account activation.
Every student upon registration at the Institution automatically acquires a personal Electronic Mail Address (eMail). No action is required on the part of the students in order to obtain their email at ΤΥ. The personal eMail is of the format username @uth.gr, where username is the User Name corresponding to the Institutional Account of each student. User login to E-Mail is done with the Institutional User Account. The eClass e-learning platform is the University of Thessaly’s e-learning system. First-year students should visit the eClass website (https://eclass.uth.gr/ ) and register using their University ID. Before registering, please read the Frequently Asked Questions, and more particularly, the information on eclass. After successful registration, users can login through their Institutional User Account.
