Labros SDROLIAS is a Professor of the Department of Business Administration of the School of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the University of Thessaly, with the subject " Business re-organization and Business processes & functions systems" (Gov. Gazette: 1392/issue C'/15-10-2014).

He is a graduate of the Department of Organization and Business Administration of the Higher Industrial School of Thessaloniki (Now University of Macedonia) - majoring in Organization and Business Administration -, and of the Pedagogical Technical School of Athens.

He holds two Doctorate Degrees, more specifically, a Doctorate in Economics and Social Sciences from the Johannes Kepler University, Linz-Austria (1992), as well as a Doctorate in Agricultural Economics, Department of Agricultural Economics, School of Agriculture, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki-Greece (2022).

He has valuable professional experience as an Export Manager and as a General Manager in the Greek Private Sector [Tsantali S.A, Exalco S.A, Monotherm S.A, and Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Karditsa], and in the Greek and Austrian Public Sector [Scientific Researcher at the Department of Quantitative Economic Research, Institute of Political Economy of the Johannes Kepler University, Linz-Austria, Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of Economic Policy and Systems, Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Employee at the Hellenic Civil Aviation Service], while he served as Deputy Head and Head of Departments of the Technological Education Institute (T.E.I) of Thessaly-Greece. In the period 2016-2017, he was an elected member of the Council of T.E.I Thessaly and in 2017-2018 Vice Rector of the same Institution.

His educational and research activity is characterized by a high-level of teaching and research work as for 24 years he was initially a member of the Educational Staff of T.E.I of Athens and Thessaly, and from 2020 a member of the Educational Staff of University of Thessaly (Department of Business Administration). In fact, throughout the year 2015 he was invited as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Regional Management, Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice-Czech Republic. Also, since October 2019, he has been teaching at the Hellenic Open University.

He has taught in many Master’s Programs, while he was also the Director of the "Public Administration & Local Self-Government" Master’s Program of the Department of Business Administration, School of Business Administration and Economics, T.E.I of Thessaly in Larissa-Greece (Oct. '17-Feb. ’21).

His research work consists of 12 studies. He has written 3 books and 28 articles in collected volumes. He has published 66 scientific articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals, while displaying 86 participations in national and international conferences with the peer-reviewed system. His research and writing work is internationally recognized as he records 1.852 citations, of which 1.314 are registered in google scholar. Also, the indices of his scientific work are: h-index: 15 and i10-index: 22.

He is an active member of scientific groups (advisory board or reviewer) in several international scientific journals and conferences

His main research interests are mainly related to Business Organization, Business Management, Personnel Management, Organizational Behavior, Change Management, Strategic and International Management, and Agricultural Economics.

He is responsible for the supervision of three Ph.D. thesis, while he is part of three-member committees in more than eight Ph.D. thesis in Greece and the Czech Republic.

He displays numerous administrative work while participating in several administrative committees and groups, as well as chairperson or member of several advisory committees and electoral bodies.

Finally, he speaks fluent German and good English.
