Learning outcomes


Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • gain an understanding of the basic and critical characteristics of projects, their connection to broader financial and operational objectives and the principles of the project life cycle,
  • gain knowledge of project management tools and techniques and how they are used to ensure successful completion of projects on time and within budget,
  • be able to distinguish the key roles in a real or a project case study and to appreciate the role of the interested parties in the implementation of the project,
  • use project management methodologies to identify key elements such as critical path, dependencies and a realistic schedule,
  • analyze and calculate key project cost elements and their connection to the project schedule.
