(3) COURSE CONTENT
The course includes: elements of mathematical logic and set theory, the mathematics of finance, basic Linear Algebra (equation of a line in R2), Tables (Adding tables, Multiplying numbers by table, Sorting table, Linear operations), Linear systems (Solving systems with the address ). Gauss and Gauss-Jordan), Matrix Multiplication, Matrix Inverse, Matrix Determinant and Cramer's method of solving systems. Exercises and applications in Linear Models of Management and Economics (Static Analysis: the concept of equilibrium, Market equilibrium, Market equilibrium using a non-linear model, General equilibrium, 2-product market model, Leontief's input-output models), Relations and functions: Types of functions in one variable, derivation theory, mean value theorems and Taylor expansions and series. (Comparative Static Analysis: Introduction to Rate of Change, Derivative of Functions of One Variable, Rules of Derivation, Extrema of Functions, Optimization: A Special Case of Equilibrium Analysis, Relative Maxima & Minima of Functions of One Variable, First Derivative Criterion, Second (and Greater) Derivatives, Second Criterion derivative, Applications to economic problems. |
