Learning outcomes

 

This course brings students into contact with contemporary corporate governance issues that find daily application in businesses and organizations in both the private and public sectors.

The focus of the course is on the importance of corporate governance for modern organizations, and the development of a culture that promotes transparency in decision-making and accountability. With the help of examples and case studies, contemporary issues of business strategy are examined, with an emphasis on recent corporate scandals.

 

Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the reasons that lead to conflict of interest within an organization and the mechanisms that contribute to finding solutions.
  • Evaluates the structures that promote transparency and accountability in decision-making in an organization.
  • Know the legal and institutional framework of corporate governance in Greece and in the world.

Written final exam (70%) including:

Multiple choice questions

Analysis of roles and stakeholders in a brief case study

Solving problems related to the subject of the course

Comparative evaluation of theory elements

II) Individual or Group Project (30%)

The purpose of the project is to check the skills developed by the students in tools and services related to consumer behavior and their ability to plan and implement a project in a group or autonomously.
