The purpose of the course: The subject in question covers as a subject of teaching the wide range of legal relations of private law extending from the Directive and the PDs on electronic commerce, information and the right of access to it (art. 902 of the Civil Code), the electronically drawn up contract according to provisions of the Civil Code, culpable relationships in online contracts, the right to an electronic address, the protection of personal data and of course up to the issues arising from digital signatures and electronic documents (articles 440-444 of the Civil Code). Thus, the course constitutes a necessary foundation for gaining an effective understanding of the modern electronic operating framework of any economy. Particular emphasis is placed on the law of contracts and in particular on the issues of breach of contract, which are linked to the special needs of the students of the Department of Business Administration. Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to: To know the fundamental concepts of e-commerce. To acquire a common understanding of the structure and operation of the rules of the specific branch of law (civil & commercial). To understand the electronic way of forming legal relationships. To realize that all their social, economic and professional activity is regulated by legal rules, which attempt to maintain a balanced satisfaction of their rights and, To be able to use reasoning and corresponding argumentation to deal with/solve basic legal problems concerning important actors of economic activity.

Taking into account the general skills that the graduate must acquire (as they are listed in the Diploma Appendix) the teaching of Legal subjects of Electronic Commerce offers students an opportunity to approach complex issues of electronic civil and commercial law, providing them with a new perspective of understanding the critical concepts of law relations, both at national and European level. Students will come into contact with a wide range of rules governing the transactional relations of economic agents and at the same time will be able to outline the structure and organization of economic institutions at national and international level. to adapt to new situations to make informed decisions to work in an interdisciplinary environment to acquire stimuli for further research activity to demonstrate social and moral responsibility with a criterion and the nexus of the rules of law and to promote free and creative thinking based on inductive reasoning.
