Learning outcomes

 

This course aims to help students to understand the basic concepts of Business Information Systems (BIS) and their role in a modern business.

More specifically, students will comprehend:

  • The concept of digital transformation of a business
  • The digital strategy of a company
  • The categories of business information systems
  • How to model business processes
  • The methodologies used for the development and support of BIS
  • Alternative ways in which companies / organizations utilize technology
  • etc

General Skills

 

This course aims in addition to technical knowledge to help the student to develop generic skills such as:

  • Search, analysis and synthesis of data and information, using the necessary technologies
  • Autonomous as well as teamwork
  • To be able to analyze businesses and do business process modeling
  • To be able to manage IT projects
  • Development of algorithmic thinking
