Dr Achilleas Anagnostopoulos is a Faculty Teaching Fellow at the Department of Business Administration, University of Thessaly, Greece. He holds a PhD in Human Resource Management and Labour Management Relations from the University of Birmingham (UK).
His teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Human Resource Management and Skills Development, applying student-centred approaches such as experiential learning and project-based activities. His research interests examine how HR practices and learning approaches foster human skills and meta-skills that support sustainable employability.
Beyond the classroom, he has been actively engaged in applied research and policy projects, including serving as National Expert for Greece in the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) programme of DG Employment, European Commission. He has also acted as Scientific Coordinator in projects funded by the Greek Federation of Enterprises and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Additionally, he serves as an expert evaluator for Horizon Europe (Cluster 2), assessing research proposals focused on social and economic transformations.
He designs and leads Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), creating learning experiences that foster international collaboration and soft skill-building. As Academic Coordinator of the Erasmus+ BIPs pHRonesis and pHRonesis II, he guides students in developing key competences such as teamwork, design thinking, and problem-solving, while fostering a growth mindset through engagement with real company cases.
He is also the founder of the Business Case Study Club at the Department of Business Administration, University of Thessaly - a project-based learning environment where participants tackle real business challenges to enhance their strategic thinking and prepare for the workplace.
