Learning outcomes

Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to: gain an understanding of the basic and critical characteristics of projects, their connection to broader financial and operational objectives and the principles of the project life cycle, gain knowledge of project management tools and techniques and how they are used to ensure successful completion of projects on time and within budget, be able to distinguish the key roles in a real or a project case study and to appreciate the role of the interested parties in the implementation of the project, use project management methodologies to identify key elements such as critical path, dependencies and a realistic schedule, analyze and calculate key project cost elements and their connection to the project schedule.
